Dr. Ramaiah Naidu Memorial Oration Award
Dr. Ramaiah Naidu Memorial Oration (RNMO) Award was instituted by the Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI in 1992 in honour of the pioneering Indian medical physicist Dr. Ramaiah Naidu. The oration award consists of a Citation and a silver plaque. Traditionally, the RNMO awards are given to either an Indian or an overseas eminent personality working in the field of Medical Physics. Indian and overseas nominees are selected alternate year for the award of RNMO. As per the current AMPI norms, the nominee for the RNMO Award should be a Life member of the association, should be over 55 years of age and should have a minimum 20 years of working experience in the field of medical physics with a good track record of academic, research and clinical experience. Normally the name of the RNMO awardee is decided by AMPI Executive Committee in consultation with organizing Chairman/ Secretary and Joint Secretary of the Conference.
Dr. P.S. Iyer Oration Award
Dr. P.S. Iyer Oration Award is instituted by Association of Medical Physicists of India (AMPI), in honour of the meritorious scientist, Dr P. Seshadrinatha Iyer, for his contribution to Medical Physics in India. The Oration award consists of a citation and a silver plaque. This award is given to an Indian Medical Physicist to recognize and appreciate his/her outstanding contributions in the field of Medical Physics. The nominee for the PSI Award should have at least 20 years of life membership of the AMPI, should not be less than 55 years of age as on 1st January of the year the oration is being given and should have more than 25 years of professional experience in the field of Medical Physics. The recipient of this award should have a distinguished academic career and should have made outstanding contributions in the field of Medical Physics. Their contributions in academics/research /teaching in this field and to the Medical Physics Society will be considered to assess eligibility. The name of the awardee is decided by the AMPI Executive Committee in consultation with Organizing Chairman/ Secretary of the Conference. The award may only be received one time by any individual.
AMPI Young Investigator Award
AMPI Young Investigator Award instituted in 2005 with the financial support of Prof. Suntharalingam, USA to encourage young medical physicist who is doing commendable research and development work carries a cash prize and a certificate. This award is given to an AMPI Life Member who is less than 35 years of age and has a few good quality publications in refereed journals. Applications providing complete personal and academic details indicating AMPI Life Membership Number can be submitted to the Secretary, AMPI. Photocopy of the publications should also be enclosed along with the application for evaluation.

AMPI Meritorious Medical Physicist Award
Meritorious Medical Physicist Award instituted in 1999 jointly by Dr. M. R. Raju and Shri P. S. Vishvanathan is to be given to an Indian Medical Physicist who is doing commendable job with the limited resources in a cancer hospital located in a rural area. The award carries a cash prize and a certificate. Eligible candidates may send their applications to the Secretary, AMPI along with a write-up which describes and supports his candidature for the award. Recommendations of two referees (senior medical physicist/ radiation oncologist/ head of the institution, etc) who know the work of the applicant should also be submitted along with the application. AMPI Best Paper (Oral and Poster) Awards
AMPI Best Paper Award is given to the best oral presentation and the best poster presentation adjudged by the scientific committee of the conference or a committee of judges appointed by the scientific committee in consultation with conference organizing committee and AMPI Executive committee. Each of the best paper awards carries a cash prize and a Certificate. AMPI Life Members less than 40 years of age are eligible for AMPI Best Paper Awards. Parameters which are considered while selecting the best paper is: scientific content, relevance to the theme of the conference, presentation quality/clarity and discussion within allocated time limit. Presenting author should ensure that the paper selected for best paper award has not been presented/ published elsewhere
AMPI Financial Assistance
AMPI encourages participation of its members in Association conferences in large numbers. Needy AMPI members are provided partial financial assistance by the AMPI. An application to this effect may be sent to the AMPI Secretary, Dr. V Subramani (firstname.lastname@example.org)/ AMPI Joint Secretary, Mr Suresh Chaudhari (email@example.com) preferably by email indicating membership number and date/month/year of obtaining AMPI membership. Preference will be given to those members who have a paper for the presentation in the conference and have received the least th assistance in the past. Last date to receive request for financial assistance is 30th September, 2023.
